1. ENTRY FEES:

Boys and Girls $15 first entry.

plus $10 per additional entry.

Cadet Men and Women $20 first entry

plus $10 per additional entry.

Penalty fee for Weight Change $10

Junior Men and Women $25 first entry.

Senior Men and Women, Masters plus $10 per additional entry

Penalty fee for Weight Change $10

Refunds may be authorised by the Tournament Director to whom written application is made

(stating the reason for the withdrawal)

2. ENTRY INFORMATION:

Entries MUST be done on-line

• Payment must accompany with a copy of all entry forms

o All entries are GST inclusive

• All entries must be signed by a Club Official.

• Entries will not be confirmed unless payment is received by 27th May 2011

• Contestants MUST be registered members of the JNZ (or for International players, their

National Organisation that is affiliated to the IJF) prior to the Closing Date for Entries 26th

May, 2011.

• Change of original entry information will be accepted between the Entry Date and up until

two days before the commencement of the tournament BUT only on payment of the penalty

charge.

• Contestants who fail to make the weight entered on the official entry form, may enter the

appropriate category on payment of a $10 penalty fee. This penalty must be paid at the weigh

in.

• There is no penalty for Weight changes for children.

• AFTER 23rd May 2011 NO FURTHER ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

• RIGHT OF ENTRY

Registered member of JNZ and International players with the approval of the JNZ Office.

• The Tournament Controller may combine any weight and/or age categories where there would

otherwise be insufficient entries to contest a category.

3. WEIGH IN TIMES:

Saturday and Sunday: 7am Unofficial

7.30am Concurrent unofficial and official

8.00am Official

** NOTE: OPEN weight entries will be accepted on the day providing players have entered a

weight division and weighed in.

After weigh in withdrawals will only be accepted from Coach or Manager.

4. PROPOSED PROGRAMME:

Saturday 4th June: Cadet Men and Women,

Junior Men and Women, Senior Men and Women

All Masters

Sunday 5th June: Junior Girls and Boys

Senior Girls and Boys

Referees Meeting/ Coaches Meeting 9am

Competition commencing 10am

The sequence of competition will be from heavyweight to lightweight categories followed by the

Open for each division.

A timed programme will be advised once entries are finalised. Players are advised to be available

in the stadium at least one hour prior to the scheduled time to enable changes to the time table

as required.

5. RULES:

The Tournament will be run according to the IJF Contest Rules as modified by JNZ and in

accordance with the JNZ Sporting Code.

After weigh-in, withdrawals from pool or open events will only be accepted from the

Coach or Manager.

6. CONTEST TIMES:

Golden score

Junior Boys & Girls 2 minutes 1 minute

Senior Boys & Girls 3 minutes 1 minute

Cadet/Junior Men and Women 4 minutes 2 minutes

Senior Men and Women: 5 minutes 3 minutes

Masters Under 50yrs 3 minutes 1 minute

Over 50yrs 2 minutes

7. POINTS :

National Grading Points are available provided the number of entries and standard are

acceptable to the National Technical Director.

National Ranking Points will be awarded in all divisions

8. JUDOGI REGULATIONS :

Judogi control will occur before and during each division.

All female competitors are required to wear a PLAIN WHITE T-SHIRT under their

Judogi. OPTIONAL USE OF WHITE LEOTARDS INSTEAD OF A T-SHIRT FOR

WOMEN

BLUE JUDOGI

The use of blue judogi is optional for all competitors fighting in the

Waikato/BOP Area Open 2011 Judo Championships.

9. CANTEEN FACILITIES:

A Canteen will be available throughout the Championships.

For organisational reasons, only those Tournament Officials and Referees that have advised

the Organisers of their attendance PRIOR to the event will be catered for as "Officials".

10. Clubs and Parents are responsible their members and supporters, at all times.

11. Hygiene: Players are reminded footwear must be worn when not competing.
